Whether it's fixing a marginal design or making a working one practical to manufacture, creating a system of devices or designing a device that fits into an existing system, or designing an entire product from the ground up, I have been doing it for more than 40 years and can do it for your project.
My design for combining video display circuitry with a computer has propagated so that it is the standard in personal computers today. I designed the first portable computer that was commercially successful. I have redesigned an existing medical device to make it portable, as part of a 4-person team, and managed the circuit board layout to make its sensitive EEG circuits less noisy than the original.
I rescued a company from oblivion by proposing a different technology for its product and was listed on its patent as an inventor. I upgraded piece of pharmaceutical research equipment by adding an embedded computer, display and sensors as well as choosing a mechanical design subcontractor and working with the machine shop to build new parts. I ran the prototype development shop for a research lab and chaired its intellectual property committee.
I know every step of the process of product development, from conceptual design at the marketing level to circuit and mechanical prototyping, circuit board layout, fabrication and assembly and design of plastic enclosures. I have put products through agency approval testing and designed circuit boards to meet UL standards.
